Ingredients

  • 2 packs Copperwood Salted Pork Belly

  • 3 tbsp shredded ginger

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp mushroom soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven for 300 degrees F.

Cut the pork belly into smaller bits sized cubes

Boil for 15 to 20 minutes to rid excess salt

In a bowl, combine the shredded ginger, tomato paste, sesame oil, soy sauce and honey.

Strain the pork belly and toss in the sauce; sprinkle the top with brown sugar.

Cover with foil and place in the oven until for tender, between 45 - 60 minutes.

Once the pork is fork-tender, turn the oven to broil setting at 500 degrees F and roast until dark charred and sticky.
