3 stalked scallion
1 tsp pimento
5 garlic cloves
1 pepper
1 1/2 tsp all-purpose seasoning

Sorrel Pot Roast Pork Recipe

  • Blender / Food Processor

  • Dutch Pot

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork

  • 2 cups sorrel juice

  • 1 onion (chopped)

  • 3 stalked scallion

  • 1 tsp pimento

  • 5 garlic cloves

  • 1 pepper

  • 1 1/2 tsp all-purpose seasoning

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

In a blender or food processor blend scallion, onion, garlic pepper, pimento and oil.

Season meat with blended seasoning black pepper, salt and all-purpose seasoning and allow to marinate overnight.

In a dutch pot, heat oil over high heat, and remove pork from the marinade. Pat dry then add to the pot and allow to sear on all sides.

When meat is seared on all sides add water to the marinade and pour into the pot then allow to reduce.

When the marinade has reduce pour sorrel juice into the pot and cut an onion in 4 and add to the pot. Cover pot and allow to cook till soft and tender.

Remove from the pot and allow to sit for a few minutes.
