Equipment

  • Mixing bowl

  • Stove

  • Dutch Pot

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tbsps granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tbsp Margarine (melted)

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, margarine and water and mix well.

Add the milk and continue mixing, then add the remaining flour and knead well until it forms a smooth dough.

Put the dough to relax in a covered air-tight container for 1/2 an hour.

Heat vegetable oil in a large Dutch pot, and roll dough into individual pieces.

Place the shaped dough into the heated oil and fry for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Drain on absorbent paper towel. Serve hot.
