A bonafide burger made with lean ground beef transformed into a cheeseburger, thanks to a topping of mac and cheese.
Ingredients
1 box Bonafide beef burger patty
4 toasted burger buns
1 roasted red pepper
Prepared Mac n cheese
For the mayo
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped Parsley
2 Garlic cloves shredded
Directions
In a bowl combine mayo, garlic and parsley, set aside in the refrigerator
Place red peppers on an open flame and completely char
Once charred place in a sealable container for 5 minutes to steam, remove from the container and wash away all the charred skin.
Remove stem and seeds, slice into strips
Prepare some creamy macaroni and cheese
Heat pan or grill to medium-high heat
Add Bonafide Straight Beef burger patty
Cook for 3-5 minutes per side (or until desired colour and texture is obtained), then remove from heat
Butter a pan and toast the cut side of the burger buns
Spread a layer of garlic parsley mayo on the toasted buns, followed by the burger patty, roasted peppers and mac and cheese
Finish with the top bun, and enjoy
