Benjamins Marble Cake Recipe

Equipment

  • Mixer

  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 8 oz sugar

  • 8 oz butter or magarine

  • 8 oz flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 4 oz liquid (milk or water)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tbsp Benjamins Vanilla Berry

  • 1/2 tsp Benjamins Almond

  • 1 tsp Benjamins Nutmeg

  • 1 tsp Benjamins Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp of each colouring (red, yellow, green, blue)

  • Pinch of salt

Method

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time and beat.

Sift dry ingredients and add alternatively with liquid and flavourings.

Marbling

Pour Benjamins colouring into cake mixture (red, yellow, blue, green) then cut into cake mixture with spatula or use Benjamins colours one at a time and cut with a spatula after each colour is added.

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F for about 5 minutes.

Pour into greased or lined baking tin and bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes

Do your bake test with a skewer or small knife.

Remove from oven and put to cool then serve with ice cream and top it off with some whipped cream.
