The hurricane season is here and promises to be very active. Chef Noel Cunningham delivers his scrumptious sausage pasta recipe, for you to weather the storm in the kitchen.
1 pack Farfalle pasta or pasta of choice
2 tins Vienna sausage, sliced
Oil for frying
Salt and pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a frying pan fry the sausages until crispy, then add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir to combine, then add tomato sauce and cooked pasta, add crushed pepper flakes then stir. Serve while it’s hot; top with cheese for more flavour, and enjoy.
